"<span style="color: blue;">Sentencepatterns</span>" intends to propagate the ideas and theories of <span style="color: purple;">A.S. Hornby</span> the Chief Editor of <span style="color: purple;">Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary</span>. I am&nbsp; great admirer and follower of him. He is the lexicographer who gave new directions to English Language. He followed the footsteps of <span style="color: red;">Dr. Palmer</span>, who wrote "<span style="color: red;">Grammar of English Words</span>" in 1938. <span style="color: purple;">A.S. Hornby</span> based his Dictionary (<span style="color: purple;">OALD</span>) on the great treatise of Palmer and gave it detailed touch in his " <span style="color: purple;">A Guide to Patterns and Usage in English</span>". The English sentence structures primarily structured on verb patterns are explained in great details&nbsp; in <span style="color: purple;">Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary</span>.
